Where is the vessel located?

The boat is moored at 750 Pacific Boulevard, Vancouver, BC.

Is there parking nearby?

There is paid parking only steps away from where our boats are moored. Rates vary depending on the time of the day and day of the week. Check for more info.

What should we wear?

Clothing that is appropriate to both the weather and the event is recommended. The important rule is to be comfortable. Evenings can be cool on the water as the climate on the Harbour can be unpredictable, therefore, it is recommended to wear layered clothing. On an afternoon cruise, sunscreen and sunglasses will make for smooth sailing. All footwear is acceptable; however, low or flat heels are preferred.

Will my cell phone connect on board?

Yes. However, you may experience some "dead" zones out on the water.

Will I get seasick?

No, unless you generally get motion sickness, e.g. In your personal car etc. Today's cruise ships are engineered with state-of-the-art stabilizers that greatly reduce motion on deck.

Is there music on board?

There will be a DJ on board playing music to dine and dance for an additional charge to the Charter fee.

Can we bring our own DJ?

Our DJs are all professionals who provide you with the type of music you prefer. However, if it is important to you to have your selected DJ on board, you certainly may do so. Our DJ will be on board to monitor the use of the installed equipment and the sound level. Unfortunately, outside equipment is not allowed on board since a professional sound system is already installed on the boat. Sanvee cruise has to abide by the strict noise laws in the harbor. Is there an age restriction for attending a cruise?

The age restriction for private charters is at the discretion of the charterer.

Are the boats safe for children and infants?

Yes, absolutely. Every year we take thousands of children on board our vessel. We also welcome school trips.

Can you tell me a little about the Vessel?

Burrard Queen offers interior deck space with seating, outdoor strolling decks, a dance floor, a full-service bar, four restrooms, and panoramic views. For any specific details on our vessel, please connect with us.

Do you cruise rain or shine?

We cruise in all types of weather. We have tent at an additional rate on the outside deck that is put up if there is rain. You can still be outside and have a great view even while it's raining. The boat has rooms indoor that is fully enclosed.

Does the Cruise sail all year?

Burrard Queen sails throughout the year. The vessel is equipped with air conditioning/heating to support all four seasons.

What time are your cruises and how long are they?

Morning Cruise: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Afternoon Cruise: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Evening Cruise: 8:00 pm - 12:00 am
We can customize cruises for an additional fee.

Where does the Vessel go?

Our Vessel cruises on the sheltered waters of the Vancouver harbor. Please note, the final route is determined by the captain who considers the weather and traffic details. It is his job to ensure a smooth and safe trip.

What is the capacity of your Vessel?

Burrard Queen can accommodate up to 225 guests.

What is 'Boarding Time', 'Cruising Time', 'Docking Time' & 'Final Disembarking Time'?

Boarding time is typically scheduled for the first 30 minutes before the cruising time. For private charters, the boarding time may vary, and it is up to the charterer's discretion. Please contact your event lead for specific details.
Cruising Time is when the boat is cruising on the water.
Docking Time is the scheduled time that the boat will return to the dock.
Final Disembarking Time is the time allotted for guests to gather their belongings and wave their final goodbyes. This process may take up to 30 minutes after docking the boat.

Do you permit Filming, Videography, and Photography during cruising?

Filming and photography are permitted during the charter however, the Company, Owner, Captain, or Crew member shall not be liable for any type of filming, video shooting, and photography in public places by the Charterer and their guests. We also have our own photographers who can take pictures for you at competitive rates.

May we decorate ourselves?

Yes, you may however, please note this must be done in the hour prior to your boarding time. If you require more time, we may assist you with an additional charge depending on the time request. A maximum of five people will be allowed on board to decorate it. Also, No screws are allowed in the wall & decoration should only be done with zip ties & tapes. Please check your contract for what decoration is allowed/not allowed.

What is included in the menu?

We will customize our menus according to the client's requirements and budget.

May I bring my own liquor?

Unfortunately, BC liquor laws do not allow you to bring outside alcohol with you or to take with you alcohol purchased on the boat.

Does Burrard Queen have disability access?

Is music allowed on the upper deck?

As per harbor restrictions (Vancouver City Bylaw), we are not allowed to play any music on the upper deck till we are in False Creek Harbour which takes roughly 25 minutes to reach. Once we hit the open sea, you can increase it to whatever level you want, it will be the same towards the end of the charter when we are docking. Music on the upper deck will be for 90 minutes roughly. There are no restrictions for sound on the main deck.

What if we want liquor brands that you don't currently carry?

We would be happy to bring in any specific brands of beer, liquor, or wine that we are able to provide under our liquor license. This arrangement will require advanced planning with our Event Coordinators and should be completed no less than 15 business days prior to your event date. Conditions apply, therefore, please contact our Sales Manager for details.

What other entertainment can we have onboard?

Our cruise coordinators are experienced in suggesting and organizing previously used entertainment on board. We can accommodate and organize events on themes such as Casinos, Karaoke, Magicians, Musicians, and many more. Just about any ideas you have can be fulfilled on board.

What do you need to book a cruise?

The most important details are to choose a date and vessel and book immediately to secure both. We require a deposit to book the cruise. A contract will be sent to you for your signature as well. Please contact our Sales Manager.

What happens after the cruise is booked?

You will receive an official confirmation email. The boarding time and all other details will be mentioned in the email. The complete balance amount must be paid 7 days prior to the day of the event. After the cruise is booked, you can sit with our planners who will work with you to enhance your event. We also suggest that you sit with the chef or the caterer to plan and organize your meal.

Which forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diner's Club in addition to electronic transfers, money orders, and certified cheques. If full balances are paid by credit card then there will be an administration fee charged (2% for Visa and Mastercard and 3% for American Express and Diner's Club) to the balance. Full payment is required a week prior to your cruise.

What is your payment schedule?

Along with a signed copy of the contract, the following schedule and payment apply:

The initial non-refundable deposit in the sum of $1000.00 (One Thousand Dollars) or 25 % of the total payment. Whichever is higher is due at the time of Signing of the Contract.
Second payment: 30% of the payment must be made 20-30 days prior to the cruise or whatever has been finalized with the sales manager.
Final payment: The balance full payment must be done at least 7 days prior to the event.

What are your cancellation and refund policies?

The client acknowledges that the deposit is not refundable, and cancellations are not accepted within 75 days of the cruise date as well as at the time he/she assumes all responsibility for the full charter fee. Notification of cancellation must be made in writing. The captain has exclusive and sole authority and jurisdiction with respect to the matter of safety for guests and the vessel. Should the captain deem it necessary to remain at the dock due to inclement weather, it shall not result in any reduction or refund of the charter fee.

What if we miss the boat, or wish to leave early?

We hope that you will adhere to the timings of the cruise. We cannot make any exceptions. The crew time, however, is dependent on the organizer. It is up to him to delay the cruise and wait for you. There will be no changes in the arrival time. Departure time can be delayed if the event organizer/planner wants to.
